I feel like I'm in 6th grade again.
P.S.
IMO Consciousness is the ability to have unique opinions, have individual reactions to things, experience a wide range of emotions, and imagine new and different things.
The posts are dominated by the men of jericho! because the ladies weren't posting anything. LADIES????
P.S. Consciousness is the miniature Jesus that lives on a small bed of hay within each of our skulls. He jogs on a hamster wheel for exercise that powers our thoughts, emotions, and awareness of the self. He pounds on the skull from within when we've drank too much. He is very good looking, but too small to date.
Well now the ladies have a chance! Hawa? Ellen? Laura?
PS:
Consciousness is a characteristic of the mind generally regarded to comprise qualities such as subjectivity, self-awareness, sentience, sapience, and the ability to perceive the relationship between oneself and one's environment. It is a subject of much research in philosophy of mind, psychology, neuroscience, and cognitive science.
Some philosophers divide consciousness into phenomenal consciousness, which is subjective experience itself, and access consciousness, which refers to the global availability of information to processing systems in the brain. Phenomenal consciousness is a state with qualia. Phenomenal consciousness is being something and access consciousness is being conscious of something.
Oh is that SOOOOOOO Moujan? Are you really trying to tell me that consciousness is the characteristic of the mind generally regarded to comprise...qualities such....as...subjectivity......and...........dammit. Touché.
Consciousness is the awareness of not only self, but also the state of being aware that you are aware of yourself. Experience and the capability to process stimuli is the most formal and concise definition that I can conjure, however, for the sake of j!bloggery, I'm going to say that consciousness is making mistakes and being sentient enough to realize and regret them.
