So there is this event coming up called "Rock the Bells." It's just a little shin dig featuring some small hip groups that nobody really knows. You know like Wu-tang and Public Enemy. And some band is reuniting there... Rage Against The Machine. Nothing big.

Wrong.

It will be huge. To show how huge it will be, I have included a diagram of Voltron and how not only Wu-Tang corresponds to it but also how the member of jericho! that are attending correspond to it as well. (This assumes that the head and body of Voltron are different parts but in reality they are the same vehicle - I know Jonty).

Everyone think back to way before summer started when I asked you to send me your five favorite sketches for me to upload on Youtube. I believe only two or three did. I think one was Kevin. I think another may have been Talia. Anyway, I am going to upload some videos to Youtube but Dave and I talked about it a while ago (and unless he has different thoughts now) what we decided is that instead of uploading everything we've done, we should do a best of. Soooo... without further a doo doo (tee hee), please post your five favorite sketches/videos to upload. I don't have a list of what ones I have to upload since my external hd is not with me at the moment, but I'll take a look at the consensus and put the top five that people vote on. And please don't forget to answer what part of megatron you are. That is importent.

jericho! Contest

I probably should explain what's going on to everybody else who reads this blog. I've decided to hold a little contest among the members of jericho!. Every Sunday until our first meeting, I'll be posting a creative writing topic on which jericho! cast members can respond. Cast members have until Wednesday 11:59pm to respond.

On Thursday until Friday 11:59pm, jericho! members AND anyone who reads the blog can take a look at all the entires and vote for which one they enjoyed the most. The winner will receive a point and the person with the most points come our first meeting will win a prize.

Thanks, fans of Jericho. Thanks a whole heaping pile of bunches. Seriously, I really appreciate the fact that you are responsible for the continuation of the horrible CBS show (which I admit I have never seen, but come on...seriously). If in the next season of Jericho, critics begin praising the show, leading to some sort of Emmy nomination - well, thanks - there goes our name. I'm sure improv groups of the past, named ER or Grey's Anatomy or CSI: Miami - who came up with their names first, either had to disband or sacrifice their dignity and rename their groups the Improvinators or The Giggle Fun Crew or some other variation of crap.

Thanks, fans of Jericho. Because television really does need another TV series about the residents of Jericho, a small, rural Kansas town, and the aftermath of a series of nuclear attacks on most major cities in the contiguous United States.

Freshman Talia Levitan, who intends to major in Italian and legal studies, found environmental-justice issues cropping up even in environmentalists' efforts at stream beautification. Her project for Friends of Five Creeks, a group dedicated to restoring degraded creek areas in the East Bay, was to recommend protocols for dealing fairly with homeless people — an issue that arose when Five Creeks volunteers encountered a homeless encampment at the so-called Albany Bulb.

A while ago some stranger posted up a wikipedia page about jericho! To this day, we don't know who did it, even after it was deemed worthless by the Wikipedia editors and erased.

I did some googling and found the cache of the old wikipedia page:

Jericho (comedy troupe)

jericho! is an improvisational comedy troupe made up of students of the University of California - Berkeley. Their first show was October 14, 2005. Its original members consisted of: Talia Levitan, Beverly Hong, Jonathan "Jonty" Lee, Moujan Zolfaghari, Cathy Fullerton, Amos Vernon, Jonathan Lewis, Sam Ou, Laura Scherrer, Dave Thomason, Steve La, Hellen Jo, Alex Curtis & Chris Dong. Its current members are: Talia Levitan, Jonty Lee, Moujan Zolfaghari, Cathy Fullerton, Amos Vernon, Jonathan Lewis, Laura Scherrer, Dave Thomason, Steve La, Chris Dong, Ryan Field, Ellen Young, Edwin Zee, Stacey Matthews, and Krismin Inocentes.

The group performs Longform improvisation and sketch comedy in its 60-90 minute act. They can be seen performing on the Berkeley campus and around the Bay Area in various other external events.
